Delete Your VelaTrack Account

VelaTrack customers can request deletion of their VelaTrack user account and personal information associated with that account. You do not need to sign in or reinstall the app to make a request. VelaTrack is operated by Mo Afrika Business Consulting and Projects (Pty) Ltd T/A Legodi Future Technologies.

VelaTrack accounts are currently provisioned and administered by the business rather than created by users inside the Android app. Account deletion requests are therefore handled through our verified business contact channel.

How to request account deletion

1. Email info@legodifuturetechnologies.co.za.
2. Use the subject VelaTrack Account Deletion.
3. Identify the VelaTrack account to be deleted, preferably by providing the email address or phone number associated with the account.
4. State whether you want the user login deleted or are also requesting deletion of particular personal information associated with you.

Do not send your password. We may need to verify your identity and, where the login belongs to a customer organisation, your authority to request its deletion. Once the request has been verified, the account will be scheduled for deletion.

What we delete

Subject to applicable legal, contractual and legitimate retention requirements, deletion may include:

• the VelaTrack user profile and user-account information;
• login credentials and authentication records associated with the deleted login;
• associations between that user login and the relevant customer account or devices;
• saved preferences belonging to that user; and
• personal information associated specifically with the VelaTrack user account.

Information we may retain

Deleting a user login does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every historical tracking record, invoice, transaction, contract, security event or other business record. We may retain information where reasonably necessary for legal or regulatory obligations, contractual obligations, financial and accounting records, fraud or security prevention, dispute resolution, or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

Information that must be retained will be kept only for the applicable purpose and period, with access and further use limited as appropriate. It will be handled in accordance with the VelaTrack Privacy Policy, the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), and other applicable law.

Tracking and device data

A VelaTrack user account may be an individual login within a customer organisation or business account. Deleting one person's login does not automatically delete GPS or location history, tracker telemetry, alerts, reports or device records belonging to the underlying customer account. Those records may need to remain available to another authorised account holder or may need to be retained for a legitimate, contractual or legal purpose.

You may request deletion of location information or other personal data associated with you. We will assess that request under POPIA and applicable law, taking account of who controls the customer or device account, the rights of other authorised account holders, and any valid retention requirement. Information that is no longer required or lawfully retained will be deleted or de-identified where appropriate.

Verification of requests

To prevent unauthorised deletion, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity, identify the relevant VelaTrack account, and verify your authority to act for a customer organisation. We will use verification information only to assess and process the request and for related security or legal records.

Disabling or uninstalling the app does not itself submit a deletion request or remove information held by the service. Information already exported or shared by you may remain with its recipients.
